We specialise in expert IUD insertion, replacement and removal.

If you have decided you'd like an IUD inserted, removed or replaced eg Mirena IUD or Copper IUD, we'd love to help.

So you've decided you want an IUD inserted..

This service is only for those who have already consulted their GP's and have decided they want an IUD inserted, replaced or removed. If you face the world with gusto, drive, and enthusiasm, and have tolerated a cervical screening test, and have no pain with sex, you may be suitable to have your IUD inserted in the rooms by Dr Nicole Ong. We are in Bayside, Melbourne.

We'd love to help with your Mirena, Kyleena or Copper IUD insertion, replacement or removal.​

Just remember, we're not a gynaecological consultation service,

we're just a clinic to insert, replace or remove your IUD​.

Bookings

Before booking your appointment, you'll need:

  1. a referral from your GP.

  2. the script filled for the Mirena or Copper IUD and bring in the IUD.

  3. a recent pelvic ultrasound to ensure you have a normal shaped uterus.

  4. for this to run smoothly for you, you MUST read this website especially "IUD insertion" or "IUD replacement" tab for pre and post information. If everything is Ok on your end, give us a call.

The Cost

The Mirena IUD typically costs about $40 after the Medicare rebate, while the Copper IUD is approximately $120.

The out-of-pocket cost for IUD insertion is $250. However, if insertion is not possible due to your anatomy, you will not incur any charges.

If the Mirena or Copper IUD insertion was not possible in the rooms:

We can organise for you to have the procedure completed under a general anaesthetic, but will incur private hospital admission & anaesthetic fees.
